Yes, the price is higher than a one-night stay at a dirty beach in New Jersey, BUT THAT’S BECAUSE IT’S WORTH IT! I went on BA’s trip to Florida this winter and spent two days on my own private island. I sat in white sand listening to nature without a human in sight, dolphins followed my kayak and listened to my calls, I watched numerous sunsets from my boat, and I challenged myself in ways I didn’t expect to. Well take it from me: a type one diabetic, who could easily die within hours if her insulin supply is reduced to zero (either via a smashed bottle or heat-poisoning), that Matt & the BA Company goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. I was worried about being off the grid without emergency care. Matt graciously offered me anything I needed and set me up with his best shock-proof, heat-proof equipment to make sure I felt comfortable and was taken care of. He talked me through emergency protocols and how the emergency hand-radio works for those cases when cell-service was spotty. Relief and respect for it all.
